When consulting a Chinese herbalist, he or she will ask you extended questions about your disorder in question: "when was the first time you had it?" and "what is making the symptoms better or worse?" Your herbal docter will then ask you about your medical history, your lifestyle and your overall health.

The Consult

During the first treatment you will be examined comprehensively. The examination consists of a large number of questions about the most diverse aspects of your health. Then your tongue will be examined and your wrist will be felt very carefully and eventually some meridian points are scanned. Based on this research, a diagnosis will be given and a plan of treatment will be drawn.

Up next, treatment follows. The follow-up treatments always begin with a brief interview and also pulse and tongue will be carefully examined again. Thus, each treatment is tailored to your condition of the moment. There is no standard treatment for a particular health issue. After several treatments the effect of treatment will be evaluated. According to your wishes, treatment will be continued or not.
